GWS Engineering and Construction is a leading fabrication facility that employ a team of draftsmen that accurately model and generate drawings in accordance with best industry practice.
Drafting
Our experienced draftsmen can take a design and generate accurate 3D models. Depending on the project and the clients requirements, a 2D drawing may be directly generated in AUTOCAD for our fabrication team. 3D modelling is typically performed in SOLIDWORKS for a complicated component or structure. And where appropriate, structural steel design and detailing is generated using ADVANCE STEEL.
Building Information Modelling
GWS engineering and construction participates in large government infrastructure projects that require the use of Tier 1 industry standard software, including Building Information Modelling(BIM) applications. BIM improves the lines of communication with our construction partners, reduce the potential of miscommunication, reduce errors and omissions and the need for rework. GWS uses AUTODESK REVIT to generate BIM compatible models that our partners are able to directly import into their own systems.
Laser Scanning
Our team has the ability to laser scan structures and components in house, recording precision measurements and import those results using our metrology software package, SPATIAL ANALYZER. We are able to scan existing components and structures, and replicate a precision 3D model of the object or drawing for reverse engineering or incorporation into a larger model.
